Job summary

A growing industrial automation company in Malaysia seeks an IT Support Technician to provide Level 1 & 2 support, manage IT assets, and conduct installations. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Degree in IT, have 2–4 years of experience, and demonstrate strong Windows OS skills. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 IT support for end-users (Windows OS, applications, printers, scanners)
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices & electronic measuring apparatus.
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN / WiFi / VPN / Email).
  • Manage IT asset inventory, tagging, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Conduct software installation, updates, and annual license audits.
  • Administer Synology NAS, backups, user access, and basic security.
  • Set up IT systems for new joiners and manage user access (email / system accounts).
  • Resolve and track IT tickets within defined procedures and timelines.
  • Support IT projects, vendors, CCTV, card access systems, and ad-hoc IT operational tasks.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in IT or related field.
  • 2–4 years IT operations or support experience.
  • Strong Windows OS and end-user support skills.
  • Basic networking, NAS, and backup knowledge.
  • Experience in asset and license management.
  • Structured, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Possess own transportation and willing to travel when required.
