A manufacturing company in Penang is seeking an Inspection Technician to conduct inspections on incoming raw materials and mechanical parts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Certificate in Mechanical or equivalent, with the ability to use measuring tools like micrometers and calipers. Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English are required. Responsibilities include ensuring conformance to quality management systems and segregating non-conforming materials.
Inspect incoming raw materials and mechanical parts; mark and complete appropriate documentation to assure conformance with drawing requirements, specifications and internal target set
Conduct complete First Article inspection
Perform in-process inspection of machined parts as required to assure adherence to specifications and procedures
To ensure all the non-conforming materials or parts (incoming, in-process or outgoing) are properly segregated and labelled
Ensure all instruments, equipment and tools are calibrated, clean and safe to use, shall trigger superior should there be any discrepancies arise
Ensure conformance to company quality management system, safety and 5S requirements
Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure
Candidate must have minimum Certificate level in Mechanical or equivalent or with related working experience
Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, electronic test, etc.
Must have the ability to perform most inspection operations with some assistance
Ability to interpret mechanical and electronic drawings
Familiar with Basic Microsoft Office
Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia and English
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
