Job summary

A manufacturing company in Kedah is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment and possess strong communication and people management skills. Responsibilities include supervising quality activities, conducting inspections, and participating in audits. Willingness to work rotating shifts is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections according to approved procedures.

Job description

To ensure that In-process and Outgoing inspectors conduct inspection according to approved procedures/specifications.

To schedule and supervise In-process and Outgoing Quality activities.

To provide direction, instruction or guidance to inspectors and auditors.

To ensure quality information are correct and safe keep.

To participate in audits activity if required.

To raise Quality issue during GYAT meeting or issue "5D" to keep record as and when needed.

To on hold any material in doubt for verification by stake holders.

To ensure the Quality and Environmental Management System and RBA requirements is followed and implemented effectively.

To update weekly OQA LAR/LRR and Dppm reports and other Quality reports as assigned by Management.

Any other assignments deemed necessary by the Management.

It is the responsibility to elevate any production issue to the next level. In the absence of immediate superior, it is the responsibility to elevate further to next level/s to ensure issue/s is/are escalated.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a STPM or Diploma in any science/technical field of study. Those with non-science/technical qualifications but have IQA related work experience can also be considered;
• Candidate must possess at least Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience exposure in similar or related manufacturing industry is preferred;
• Must be willing to work on rotating shifts;
• Excellent communication and people management/interaction skills;
• Matured and able to adapt in a fast moving, high volume manufacturing environment;
• Must be able to work in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
