Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and/or economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
• Evaluating respective sectors and stocks for investment opportunities. Monitor financial news and interpret the implications to make informed investment decisions.
• Supporting analytical work done by the portfolio manager and other team members with data describing current and long-term trends in investment risks and economic influences pertinent to investments.
• Update investment recommendations; maintain records to substantiate buy-and-sell recommendations and record regular meeting minutes.
• Maintain liaison and conduct regular meetings with the management of the companies under their coverage to discuss recent developments and issues arising from the financial results.
• Assist fund managers to update interim and annual reports for unit trust funds.
• Support/revise/coordinate client reporting, internal investment meetings and internal information database.
• All other matters ancillary to the above.
• To perform any other related duties that Management may require from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
• At least 1 year of equity research experience preferred
• Passionate about the markets and interested in the research process.
• Process excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate a keen interest in macroeconomics.
• Strong understanding of financial info, such as financial statements, and sector data.
