Job summary

A leading logistics company in Malaysia is seeking an Inventory Control Executive to manage and oversee inventory levels. The role involves ensuring accurate recording, storage, and distribution of stock. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, have up to 5 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in both English and Mandarin. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills are essential. Experience with SAP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP transactions will be an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Inventory Control Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing inventory levels, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded, stored, and distributed in a timely manner.

The job responsibilities for an Inventory Control Executive in our organization are as follows:

Job Responsibilities
  • a. Maintains integrity of the physical inventory and optimize inventory locations based on demand and usage.
  • b. Helps maintain inventory accuracy within budget and lead the cycle count process and procedure to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • c. Identifies and resolves inventory variances through strong investigative skills.
  • d. Identifies, initiates and accountable for system movement of product and materials between operations warehouse locations as needed.
  • e. Ensure all inventory control and receiving processes are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • f. Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged goods, missing stock, or incorrect shipments.

Requirements
  • a. In order to undertake & accomplish all the above, the successful candidate will need to have:
  • b. At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or its equivalent;
  • c. 0–5 years of working experience in inventory management or a related field;
  • d. Experience with SAP transactions will be an added advantage.
  • e. We are seeking candidates proficient in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
  • f. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory tracking;
  • g. Strong communication skills to interact with warehouse teams and internal departments;
  • h. Proactive attitude towards identifying and implementing improvements in inventory control process;
  • i. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word & Power Point skills.
