Overview

BGS Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking an Inventory Assistant to join our team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting our procurement and logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Maintaining accurate inventory records

Maintain and update accurate inventory records, tracking all incoming & outgoing stock.

Processing inventory transactions

Processing incoming stock, stock returns, damaged goods, and discrepancies. Processing outgoing stock (sample to customers, stock exchange, short supply, etc.).

Regular physical counts of inventory are conducted to ensure accuracy against system.

Assisting in inventory reconciliation

Identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to ensure the accuracy.

Collaborating with warehouse & logistics teams / Procurement

Facilitating smooth operations ensuring that products are available for customers.

Stock Report

Preparing weekly stock report for management.

Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in an inventory or stock management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry.
  • Strong numeracy and data entry skills, with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work.
