Overview

Formtri Idea is looking for an experienced and passionate Interior Designer (Project Management) (3–5 years’ experience) who is creative, dedicated, and eager to grow with our team in design & build including the cabinetry and custom carpentry industry.

Requirements
  • 2 Vacancies Available – One for Design & Build (D&B) projects and one for Carpentry & Renovation projects.
  • Experienced as a Project Designer, Project Coordinator, or similar role in interior design or carpentry industry.
  • Develop interior layout plans (2D & 3D) for residential and/or commercial projects.
  • Assist in preparing Bill of Quantities (BQ) and support the quotation process.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes from concept design to installation.
  • Ability to read, prepare, and interpret design drawings, schedules, and detailed action plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Strong client-facing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of change management, risk management, and quality assurance practices.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with material selection, cabinet design, and site measurement will be an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing interior design projects from concept to completion.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-sectional department members and clients throughout the project progress.
  • Conduct site visits for measurement, inspection, and verification to ensure design accuracy.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and provide timely solutions to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare meeting summaries, document follow-ups, and ensure all tasks are executed according to schedule.
  • Report regularly on project status, timelines, and any changes to the management team.
  • Able to undertake other special ad-hoc assignment and tasks required.
  • Handle special ad-hoc assignments and provide support to team members whenever necessary.
