Job summary

A prominent design firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an interior designer to manage and execute various design projects from concept to final deliverable. The ideal candidate will create conceptual designs, understand stakeholder briefs, and implement innovative ideas that meet organizational standards and brand expectations. Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of color science are essential, as well as the ability to communicate with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant work experience as an interior designer is preferred.
  • Able to communicate with main stakeholders who speak Chinese only.
  • Creative with innovative flair and excellent attention to detail.

  • Work on a wide range of projects from concept to final deliverable.

Job description

Work on a wide range of projects consisting of interior design and project managementfrom concept, ideation, design to final deliverable.

Create conceptual designs, sketches, and mood boards to convey design ideas.

Project portfolio mainly consist of projects from the Group’s non-primary private businesses.

Understand stakeholder’s briefs and translate all design requirements into creative and high-quality design.

Research, conceptualize and develop innovative design that meets organization standards and brand expectations.

Able to work independently to create designs to live using necessary software to meet projects requirements and expectations from the lead stakeholder.

Perform research on product technologies to implement into design concepts.

Modify and revise existing designs to meet stakeholder's expectations.

Direct dealing with suppliers as required according to the projects on hand.

Requirements
  • Relevant work experience as a interior designer is preferred.
  • Able to communicate with main stakeholder who is chinese speaking only.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with top management and able to understand/gauge design aesthetics requirement.
  • Good understanding of color science and combinations.
  • Creative with innovative flair and excellent attention to detail.
  • Meticulous and diligent.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends.
