Responsible for planning, developing, and executing cohesive communication strategies across corporate communications, marketing communications, and group/internal communications to strengthen the Group’s brand reputation, stakeholder confidence, and employee engagement. This role ensures all communications are consistent, compliant, and aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives, sustainability agenda, and public-listed company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Communications
- Develop and implement corporate communications strategies to enhance the Group’s brand reputation, credibility, and public image.
- Manage media relations, including press releases, media statements, interviews, and crisis communications.
- Support communications related to corporate announcements, sustainability initiatives, ESG positioning, and key milestones.
- Ensure all external communications comply with Bursa Malaysia, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to maintain message consistency across all channels.
2. Marketing Communications
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated marketing communications campaigns to support business growth, product launches, and market expansion.
- Oversee brand messaging, campaign narratives, content development, and creative execution across digital, print, events, and PR channels.
- Work closely with business units to translate technical clean energy solutions into clear, compelling value propositions.
- Ensure brand guidelines are consistently applied across all marketing and communications materials.
- Track and evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimise communications strategies based on performance insights.
3. Group & Internal Communications
- Develop and manage internal communications strategies to drive employee engagement, alignment, and culture across the Group.
- Oversee communications for corporate initiatives, leadership messages, townhalls, and internal campaigns.
- Support change management communications during organisational, operational, or strategic transformations.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and engaging dissemination of information across internal platforms and channels.
4. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with senior management, sustainability, investor relations, HR, and operations teams to align messaging.
- Support communications for investor, government, community, and industry stakeholders where required.
- Manage external vendors, creative agencies, PR agencies, and freelancers to ensure quality and consistency.
5. Governance, Risk & Crisis Communications
- Support crisis communications planning and execution, including issue monitoring and response frameworks.
- Ensure communications are aligned with corporate governance standards and risk management protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in integrated communications, corporate communications, or marketing communications.
- Prior experience in a public-listed company, regulated industry, or energy/industrial sector is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of media relations, brand management, and internal communications.
- Experience managing agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
