A construction consulting firm in Johor Bahru is seeking a knowledgeable Inspector of Works in Civil Engineering. The role involves supervising and monitoring construction activities while ensuring compliance with technical plans. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, be registered with BEM, and possess the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders. Strong knowledge of residential high-rise projects is essential for success in this role.
Supervision and monitoring construction works in accordance with the contracts, construction drawings and procedures and method statement.
Coordinating with consultants and contractors to prepare and interpret plans and specifications.
Monitor all movement of materials into the project site.
To monitor and ensure scheduled constructions works are maintained.
Always staying up to date with the details of the site records such as the progress of the project, the delays of the project (if any), the site manpower, the weather conditions, drawings received & etc.
Establishing a professional working relationship with the contractors' staff, carry out daily site inspections, ensuring all correction work is done properly, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
To attend various meetings including site meetings, technical meetings, sub-contractor meetings, etc.
Coordinating all site issues and highlighting construction status to your superior/consultants.
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM) as an Inspector of Works (Civil).
Physically fit.
A minimum of 5 years in the construction industry.
Possesses wide experience/knowledge in the building industry, especially in residential (high rise) projects, including knowledge of method of construction, specifications, materials, work sequences, etc.
Able to read and understand infra and structure construction drawings.
