The group you’ll be a part of

The Global Operations Group brings together information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing to drive our global business operations. The impact you’ll make

You will create and develop design concepts and specifications that optimize the function, ergonomics, perceived value, and appearance of physical hardware products and systems for consumers and end users. Partner with internal and external marketing and design groups to research and analyze design trends and customer feedback for product enhancements, new product design, and overall design strategy. Produce and validate product design specifications and production requirements with manufacturing and engineering teams, both insourced and outsourced.

  • Perform line balancing and optimization to ensure line efficiency
  • Conduct gaps analysis between actual and theoretical performance and implement gap closure measures
  • Productivity Improvement
  • Drive labor hour and cycle time improvement projects
  • Coordinate tool relocation and re-layout activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational KPIs
  • Perform time study data collection and analysis for continuous improvement based on Lean principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering; or 3 years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and system skills is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and planning skills.
  • Strong drive for business improvements.
  • Proven ability to perform under minimal supervision.
  • The position is located in Kulim.
