A retail company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for completing preventive maintenance on schedule, ensuring equipment is operational, and managing repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. This role requires the ability to travel within the area and take calls off hours. Experience in the retail industry and refrigeration systems is a plus.
Responsible to complete all preventive maintenance (PM) according to planned schedule in a most efficient way
Responsible to ensure equipment are back to operations and signed off by store staff before signed off the PM work
To ensure preventive maintenance are carried out in accordance with standard set and trained by equipment manufacturer
Responsible to update PM completion timely in the CMMS system upon work completion with all required documentation
Escalate to manager if face challenges to complete PM timely without any hesitation
Responsible to complete all corrective maintenance (CM) work within agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
To ensure repair works are carried out in accordance with standard set and always trained by equipment manufacturer and NOT TO take short cuts
Responsible to update CM completion timely in the CMMS system upon work completion with all required documentation. In the event work not able to be completed, job status should be updated as "work in progress (WIP)" with appropriate remarks and documentations
Escalate to manager if face challenges to complete repair work timely without any hesitation
Responsible to take good care on the spare part and reconcile into system timely
Ensure used spare parts are disposed as per guided Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Responsible to manage, maintain and upkeep company vehicle and tools provided for the purpose to carry out work
Carry out other ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned by superior
Minimum Diploma in Engineering or relevant qualifications
At least 3-5 years working experiences as maintenance technician
Possess good technical knowledge
Knowledge in use of mobile apps for CMMS system
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Able to travel within the managed area to perform the tasks
Able to take up phone call off working hours as when required
Rotational shift (no fix off days)
Experience working in retail industry with multiple sites
Experience in refrigeration system such as air-conditioning especially 5hp split unit or fridge maintenance
