Human Resources Executive – Job Description & Role Profiling

Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically competent HR Executive who specializes in crafting precise and comprehensive Job Descriptions (JDs) for engineering and technical roles within a glove manufacturing plant. This role plays a key part in aligning organizational structure with operational needs by ensuring job profiles accurately reflect job responsibilities, technical requirements, and career progression paths.
Key Responsibilities
- JD Development & Maintenance
- Draft, review, and maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all engineering-related roles.
- Translate technical job functions and requirements into clear, concise, and structured job profiles that support recruitment, performance management, and career development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Head of Department to ensure JDs reflect actual scope, expectations, and evolving industry trends.
- Job Analysis & Role Profiling
- Conduct job analysis interviews, observations, and data collection to understand job functions, work conditions, competencies, and qualifications needed.
- Benchmark internal engineering roles against market standards to ensure consistency and competitiveness.
- Governance & Alignment
- Ensure all JDs are standardized, aligned with the organization's grading structure, and comply with ISO, internal audit, and HR policy requirements.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and organizational structure documentation related to job profiling.
- Project & Continuous Improvement
- Support HR transformation and workforce planning initiatives by providing insights on role design and talent gaps.
- Continuously improve the JD development process through digital tools, templates, and systems enhancement.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Engineering, or related field.
- Engineering or technical background is a strong advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years focusing on job description writing or job evaluation for technical/engineering roles.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing industries preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of engineering job scopes, technical terminologies, and plant operations.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into business-friendly language.
- Strong attention to detail and structured thinking.
- Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to engage cross-functional teams.
- Languages:
- Proficiency in spoken Mandarin is required, as the role involves frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
