Job Overview

To establish strong people governance, discipline, and performance accountability across a 300-employee manufacturing organization with a mixed local and foreign workforce. This role is not a welfare or admin HR role. The HR Manager is expected to advise management firmly, enforce policies consistently, and reduce people-related risk

Key Responsibilities
  • People Governance & Compliance – Develop, enforce, and continuously improve HR policies and SOPs; Ensure compliance with labor laws and foreign worker regulations; Handle disciplinary actions, misconduct investigations, and terminations professionally
  • Performance & Accountability – Design and manage performance management processes; Identify underperformance early and drive corrective action; Coach line managers on handling people issues effectively
  • Manager Advisory Role – Act as a firm, independent advisor to management on people risks; Challenge decisions that create legal, cultural, or precedent risk; Provide clear, practical recommendations — not theory
  • Workforce & Organization Management – Manage recruitment, onboarding, and manpower planning; Handle employee relations issues before they escalate; Maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting
