Job summary

A leading project management consultancy in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee project-specific safety measures. You will develop and maintain the HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with regulations, while leading risk management and incident investigations. Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, a Green Book certificate, and 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry. This role offers a chance to promote safety culture and training within high-tech projects.

About the job
  • System Implementation and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific HSE Management System, ensuring strict compliance with local statutory regulations and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001) for safety and environmental protection.
  • Contractor HSE Assurance: Review, critique, and endorse the contractor's HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and emergency plans to ensure they meet the client's high safety thresholds.
  • Risk Management & Site Control: Lead site-wide risk management, conduct frequent, formal HSE audits and site inspections, and actively track the implementation of corrective actions across all construction activities.
  • Incident Management & Investigation: Manage all aspects of incident reporting, lead thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for accidents and near-misses, and ensure lessons learned are implemented project-wide.
  • Training and Safety Culture: Oversee and coordinate project-specific HSE training and inductions for all personnel, actively promoting a robust and proactive safety culture on the high-tech site.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track safety metrics (e.g., TRIR), and prepare accurate, regular HSE performance reports for the Project Leadership Team and the Client.
What you need to succeed
  • Possess a Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or relevant
  • Minimum 8-10 years of working experience within the construction industry, added advantage if you have done data center projects
  • Must possess a Green Book certificate
