HR System Establishment and Implementation
- System Development: Lead the formulation of a complete set of HR policies and processes that comply with local labor laws and regulations such as Malaysia’s Employment Act.
- Recruitment Initiation: Take full responsibility for the new factory’s recruitment operations, including formulating recruitment plans, publishing job vacancies, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and establishing a talent pool for key positions.
- Compensation & Benefits Design: Conduct local salary surveys and design competitive salary structures, benefits packages and employee recognition programmes.
Daily HR Operations and Management
- Employee Relations: Serve as the core HR consultant to address employee inquiries, grievances and workplace conflicts, and maintain positive employee relations.
- Payroll & Attendance Management: Administer monthly payroll calculation, social security contribution, attendance tracking and employee file management, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Training & Development: Identify training needs, and organise new employee orientation programmes and various skill development initiatives.
Administration & Logistics Support Setup (dual‑role during initial phase)
- General Affairs Management: May lead or coordinate outsourcing services including office space planning, facility management, security and cleaning services.
Reporting & Cross‑Cultural Communication
- Regularly report the progress of HR system establishment, local compliance status and team performance to the management of China Headquarters.
- Act as a cultural bridge between China Headquarters and the local Malaysian team to ensure smooth communication.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related fields are preferred.
At least 3–5 years of full‑cycle HR work experience; experience in manufacturing or factory environments is highly desirable. Candidates with experience in new team or new factory set‑up projects will be given priority.
Professional Knowledge & Skills
- Must have a thorough understanding of Malaysian labour laws and regulations (e.g., Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act).
- Proficient in HR‑related software and MS Office, with excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Language Requirements
- English: Strong business communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing for handling local affairs.
- Chinese‑Mandarin: Fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing to serve as a working language for collaboration with China Headquarters and Chinese teams.
- Bahasa Malaysia: Basic communication skills are preferred, which will facilitate handling local employee relations and government affairs.
