A prestigious international school in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the housekeeping department. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing inventory. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, along with excellent communication abilities. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety standards within the facility. They are responsible for supervising housekeeping staff, scheduling, training, and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies. The Housekeeping Supervisor also liaises with other departments to ensure seamless coordination.
Daily manpower planning and staff allocation to ensure optimal productivity.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff of all areas within the school.
Train new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Develop and implement schedules for cleaning tasks, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
Monitor and oversee the overall Sports facilities within the school ie. tennis courts, sports hall, gymnasium, golf grounds etc.
Participate in all departmental training, briefings, and meetings as and when necessary.
Ensure that all guest amenities and chemical stock usage are controlled and recorded without fail and any discrepancies are to be reported to the Manager of Housekeeping.
Ensure compliance with the school’s rules and regulations and also departmental SOP at all times.
Undertake any ad hoc duties and special tasks ie. special project cleaning, etc. as assigned by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.
To plan and execute events and projects arrangements are in order.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety standards and cleaning protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
