Job summary

A leading hotel company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee and guide the housekeeping team. Responsibilities include supervising daily tasks, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards, and supporting the implementation of housekeeping procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching staff and handling guest requests. This role is crucial for maintaining high service levels and organizing work schedules effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide floor team leaders and room attendants in daily tasks.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Assist in organizing work schedules and staff deployment.
  • Support implementation of housekeeping standards and SOPs.
  • Provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff.
  • Handle guest requests and special room arrangements.
  • Assist in inventory control of linens and cleaning supplies.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports and housekeeping records.
  • Handle staff attendance.
  • Coordinate with outsource companies on foreign matters.
  • Follow up with Engineering Team on defect rectification.
  • Coordinate with Front Office Team on VIP room assignments.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide floor team leaders, room attendants, and public area attendants in their daily tasks.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet hotel standards.
  • Assist in organizing daily work schedules, staff deployment and task allocation.
  • Support the implementation of housekeeping standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and coaching to new and existing housekeeping staff.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and special room arrangements in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in inventory control of linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports, handover logs, and housekeeping records.
  • Handle housekeeping staff attendance.
  • Coordinate with outsource companies regarding foreign matters.
  • Coordinate and follow up with Engineering Team on defect rectification progress, keep defect list updated.
  • Coordinate with Front Office Team on VIP room assignment and inspection.
  • Prepare and keep track of purchase request list, follow up with Purchasing Department.

Ensure all staff comply with hotel policies, grooming standards and hygiene practices.
