Are you a Health & Safety leader with a strong track record in mission-critical construction projects?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading PMC as HSE Manager on a greenfield hyperscale data centre development in Malaysia. You’ll be responsible for driving health, safety, and environmental performance across all phases of the project, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards, while promoting a proactive safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and systems throughout the full project lifecycle—from design and planning to construction and commissioning.
• Ensure full compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements and international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring timely corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary HSE interface between the client, contractors, and internal PMC teams.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote awareness and safe practices.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis, ensuring lessons learned are documented and shared.
• Provide clear and concise HSE performance reports to senior stakeholders and clients.
• Support the development of a safety-first culture across all project teams and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience in construction HSE roles, with at least 5 years in mission-critical projects such as data centres, semiconductor facilities, or industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian health and safety regulations and international standards.
• Prior experience working in a PMC or consultancy environment is highly preferred.
• Valid CIDB Green Card is mandatory for site access and legal compliance.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are strongly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
