Head of Supply Chain & Logistics
(Puchong, Malaysia)
- Planning and coordinating logistics activities, including import/export, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
- Receive, review, and process customer purchase orders accurately and promptly
- Coordinate with internal departments (sales, warehouse, logistics) to ensure timely order fulfilment
- Monitor order status and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
- Ensure all orders are processed in accordance with company policies and customer requirements
- Provide internal stakeholders with advice and guidance on indirect tax treatment, including HS Code application, duty exemption and sales tax exemptions.
- Manage FTAs applications, offer advice & guidance on international shipping regulations, and assist with cross-trade shipment processes.
- Calculate and validate landed costs including purchase price, freight, insurance, customs duties, and handling charges
- Monitor cost variances and ensure accurate allocation of expenses to products
- Develop and update customer price lists based on landed cost analysis and margin requirements
- Provide timely and accurate price lists to internal stakeholders and external customers
- Automate and streamline price list generation processes within SAP
- Maintain and update material master data, vendor records, and pricing conditions in SAP.
- Regularly review and cleanse master data to prevent duplication, errors, and inconsistencies
- Implement robust cost control measures to optimize project budgets. Conduct regular cost analyses and provide insights to improve cost efficiency across projects
- Liaise with customers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and special requirements
- Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of orders, delivery schedule, customer communications and update ERP systems with order details and updates
- Tracking orders, ensuring timely delivery, and updating order records to ensure timely delivery and resolve delays
- Ensuring all aspects of freight import operations are managed efficiently and effectively
- Monitoring inventory in and out, ordering supplies, and scheduling deliveries
- Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize inventory control, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve logistics-related issues
- Communicating shipment statuses and resolving logistics issues promptly
- Supporting supply chain team in ad-hoc logistics or procurement requirements
- Handling regular purchasing material duties and administrative works
- Providing support to overall logistics and supply chain issues
- Performing other ad hoc assignments as requested by management
Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain costing, procurement, or logistics
- Familiar with HS code, customs, government agencies rules & regulations would be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of SAP with hands‑on experience
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
- Familiar with supply chain processes.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, proficient at interpreting data and making informed decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally and build relationships with stakeholders.
