Job description

The Company is seeking a Head of Production to oversee all plant operations and efficiency initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of production, developing and managing strategies to meet organizational and financial objectives, and optimizing the use of equipment and resources to adapt to changing production demands. This role also involves setting and controlling budgets, targets, and KPIs, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and implementing and maintaining various manufacturing initiatives such as TPM, 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.

The Head of Production will be expected to manage labor requirements, production planning, stock management, and instrumentation calibration, while also driving process improvements and ensuring that the plant operates in line with the company's goals. Applicants for the Head of Production position at the company should have a tertiary qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of 15 years' of operations management experience, preferably in a GMP manufacturing environment. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and prior experience in a similar industry is essential.

The role requires proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative management style. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership presence, be adept at team building, decision-making, and people management, and have the ability to view situations from multiple perspectives.
