Job Description

This role is based in our Menara Skymind office.

Role Overview

As a leadership role responsible for defining and executing the organization's data strategy, architecture, and engineering capabilities, this position leads the design and implementation of scalable data platforms, ensures data governance standards, and drives innovation in data technologies to support business objectives.

Areas of Responsibility & Accountability
  • Develop and execute comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with business goals. Lead digital transformation initiatives focused on data modernization and cloud adoption. Translate the strategic direction of the function to tangible KPIs and goals.
  • Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Drive innovation through emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and other relevant technologies.
  • Design and oversee implementation of enterprise-wide data architecture and infrastructure. Ensure scalability, security, and performance of data platforms and systems. Establish best practices for data transformation, integration, and quality management.
  • Oversee data pipeline development. Translate business requirements into technical solutions and data products. Ensure data architecture supports analytics, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
  • Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency in data operations. Measure and report on data architecture performance and business value. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of data engineers and architects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, business units, and external partners. Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships.
  • Successful, on‑time delivery of high‑quality, highly relevant, and differentiated data products that provide quantitative foundations for syndicated research projects across sectors. Successful, on‑time execution of data products that are essential components of consulting engagements, delivered to client specifications and quality expectations.

  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL, Scala, Java)
  • Demonstrated team management and matrix management expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or related fields
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing technical teams
  • Proven track record of delivering large‑scale data transformation projects
