Job Description

The Head, Certification is to lead Malaysia teams to deliver the overall strategy and the profit and loss of the BV Certification portfolio. Responsible for topline and gross margin performance of the Certification product line, with shared accountability with the area in delivering the annual P&L and driving key operational activities.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for the P&L of Certification Malaysia team
  • Driving organic growth through new and recurring sales
  • Lead the strategic direction with support from team leaders.
  • Ensuring optimized operation through collaboration and support from team members
  • Provide leadership to operation team managers
  • Coaching and development of team members.
  • Understand BV’s financial reporting and financial literacy.
  • Reasonable understanding of Sales, Technical, Back Office and Recruitment.
  • Communication, influencing and stakeholder management.
  • Commercial, Profit and OCF driven.Ability to attract, recruit, hire and retain talents.
  • Agility to adapt organization structure to meet business needs.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, or equivalent related field.
  • At least 4–5 years of professional experience leading a high‑performance team.
  • Practical experience with certification, sustainability, environmental management systems, ESG frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute business planning process and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface with different levels of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a large team, develop Sales staff capabilities and P&L across geographies.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and providing innovative, impactful insights through data analysis.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
