Job description

The Head of Certification – Malaysia is responsible for leading the Malaysia teams to deliver the overall strategy and the profit and loss of the BV Certification portfolio. They will manage topline and gross margin performance of the Certification product line, share accountability with the area in delivering the annual P&L and driving key operational activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the P&L of the Certification Malaysia team
• Driving organic growth through new and recurring sales
• Leading strategic direction with support from team leaders
• Ensuring optimized operation through collaboration and support from team members
• Providing leadership to operation team managers
• Coaching and development of team members
• Understanding BV’s financial reporting and financial literacy
• Reasonable understanding of Sales, Technical, Back Office and Recruitment
• Communication, influencing and stakeholder management
• Commercial, profit and OCF driven
• Attracting, recruiting, hiring and retaining talents
• Being agile on organization structure to meet business needs

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, or equivalent related field
• At least 4-5 years of professional experience leading a high-performance team
• Practical experience with certification, sustainability, environmental management systems, ESG frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute business planning process and market analysis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interface with different levels of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead a large team, develop Sales staff capabilities and manage P&L across geographies
• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to provide innovative and impactful insights through data analysis
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
