Job description
  • Implement best audit and compliance practices in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and reduce all risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
  • Develop, implement and maintain international certifications and procedures in accordance with local and international best practice and standards.
  • Compile and implement the Audit plan.
  • Conduct ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks areas
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to the Management and/or relevant committees.
  • Overall supervision of planned audits.
  • Co-ordinate audit request from interested parties (e.g., internal auditor, customer, government body, certification body)
  • Responsible for halal certification for company and products related to company.
  • To responsible and liaise with JAKIM and Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN) on halal related matters.
  • To ensure compliance to all guidelines issued by Malaysian authorities such as Halal Assurance Management System of Malaysia Halal Certification by Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and Jabatan Agama Islam Melaka (JAIM).
  • Liaise with related departments such as R&D, QA, Export and Production department to verify any new product, formulation on raw material changes, or any related halal issue.
  • Conduct Halal and GMP training to all production workers.
  • Plan and prepare meeting minutes and reports.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior.
  • Possess a Degree preferably in Management, Food Science Technology and Professional Halal Executive Certificate by Halal Professional Board.
  • At least 3 years proven working experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management or similar capacity in manufacturing sector preferably in food industry.
  • Familiar with international certification standards i.e food safety regulations, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP & HALAL will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate and good report writing skills.
