Your Mission
The Global Payroll Project Manager will play a critical role in the functional design and development of a harmonised payroll solution across eleven countries. This position requires a deep understanding of local labour laws and payroll processes, as well as the ability to create systems that foster maximum synergy across the enterprise. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the solution meets both regulatory requirements and organisational goals.
Functional Design and Development
- Lead the design and development of a global payroll solution that aligns with business objectives and local labour law requirements.
- Collaborate with global & local HR, finance, and legal teams to define functional specifications and requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of local regulations and best practices.
- Develop and document process workflows that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and support the efficient management of payroll across all regions.
Project Management
- Manage the project through all lifecycle stages, ensuring timely and successful implementation of the payroll solution within the stipulated timeline and budget.
- Develop and execute a detailed project plan, setting clear milestones and deliverables to achieve project goals.
- Monitor and control project performance, using appropriate tools to track progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate and manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
Technical Integration
- Oversee the technical integration from existing payroll system to a harmonised new global payroll management system.
- Develop and oversee the end-to-end testing strategy to identify any system issues and ultimately ensuring a smooth transition to the new payroll system.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations in all jurisdictions, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Regularly update stakeholders on regulatory changes and their potential impact on the payroll solution design.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders globally, including HR, finance, and operational leaders, to gather input and align on design decisions.
- Communicate project updates and gather feedback from stakeholders to ensure the solution meets business needs.
Process Optimisation
- Analyse existing payroll processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure the new solution enhances efficiency and effectiveness.
- Design the payroll solution to maximise business synergy, minimising duplication of efforts and aligning with organisational best practices.
Knowledge Transfer and Training
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on the new payroll processes and systems.
- Document and share lessons learned and best practices to contribute to the organisation's knowledge base.
Documentation
- Ensure maintenance of a detailed project documentation, including project plan, status reports and process documentation.
Celebration of Success
- Recognise and celebrate project milestones and successes, fostering a culture of achievement and collaboration within the project team.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field
- 10-15 years experience in payroll or project management
- Exposure in SAP payroll and Workday for multiple countries will be an added advantage
- Good leadership, team management and ability to influence internal customers and external vendors
- Ability to work for 3 years' contract.
