About the role

S.P.A Solo Raya is an International school in Indonesia adopting the Montesorri and Cambridge curriculums. Our students range from the levels of Kindergarten to Pre-University. The school is in the midst of expansion and we are looking for highly motivated individuals to boost the teaching force.

Now, we are seeking a full-time Geography & History Teacher to join our team Based in Sukoharjo – Solo Raya, Central Java, Indonesia. As a Geography & History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to Secondary and Lower Secondary School Students, helping them develop a deep understanding and appreciation for these important subjects.

What we're looking for

Expat teacher

A Degree in a Geography and History related discipline from a reputable university (a teaching certificate is not necessary but would be an advantage)

At least 1 year of teaching experience in Geography and History (Experience working in fields related to the subjects is also welcomed)

At least 26 years old (Indonesia’s requirements)

ONLY career teachers need apply ( 2 years contract)

Willing to be placed in Sukoharjo - Solo Raya, Central Java, Indonesia

What you'll be doing

• Plan and deliver comprehensive geography and history lessons that align with the school curriculum. (Geography for Secondary, IGCSE (‘O’ Level ) and History for lower Secondary)
• Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to keep students motivated and actively participating
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a consistent and high-quality educational experience
• Continuously seek opportunities for professional development to enhance your teaching skills
• Organise activities on a termly basis
• As Head of Humanities department
