Fractional Email Marketing Specialists (Mailchimp / Klaviyo)

Substance | Level Up by Substance – Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur

We’re not looking for someone to “sprinkle magic” or “hack growth.” We’re looking for someone who actually knows how to plan, send, and fix email campaigns that work.

You’ll be the person who makes sure our emails don’t just land in inboxes — they get read, clicked, and acted on. The role spans three very different companies.

What you’ll actually do

• Build and run campaigns on Mailchimp and Klaviyo.
• Segment lists properly (no blasting everyone with the same email).
• Create automation flows: welcomes, re‑engagements, upsells, workshop reminders.
• Write subject lines and copy that cut through inbox clutter — no clichés, no “newsletter filler.”
• Test what works (A/B subject lines, send times, CTAs) and kill what doesn’t.
• Keep lists clean and deliverability high.
• Report weekly on what’s working — and what’s not.

Requirements

Who we want

• You’ve actually run campaigns end‑to‑end — not just “helped the team.”
• You know the difference between B2B nurture and B2C sales emails — and can shift tone for each.
• You care about numbers: open rate, CTR, conversion — not just pretty templates.
• You can work fractionally (5–15 hrs/week) across three brands and switch contexts without losing focus.
• You don’t need handholding. If a campaign underperforms, you bring a fix, not excuses.
• Track record of project completion with success rates.

Nice to have

• Experience with both service businesses and e‑commerce.
• Basic HTML/CSS so you’re not stuck when formatting breaks.
• Past work samples that show results.
