Job summary

A financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled financial manager to oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports and lead the budgeting and forecasting process for Malaysia & Indonesia. The ideal candidate will monitor strategic plans and ensure financial integrity while developing and maintaining accurate financial statements. Experience in business partnership and operational recommendations is essential. This role supports the organization's growth and involves interaction with senior management and investors.

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes in sales and inventory management.
  • Evaluate feasibility for retail store expansion and financial evaluations.
  • Monitor strategic plans converted into annual operating plans.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for preparing monthly Financials for the Malaysia & Indonesia entities with the Corporate Finance (SEA teams and HQ teams in Dubai)
  • To prepare Quarterly Presentations for the Malaysia & Indonesia entities & conduct reviews with functional heads
  • To Lead Budget and forecasting process – Sales, Inventory Management, Intake and Margins, Stock liquidation planning, and corporate planning with the local cross functional teams and Corporate Finance (SEA teams and HQ teams in Dubai)
  • To lead and anchor the feasibility of retail store expansion and store renewal financial evaluation process
  • Work as a Business Partner and monitor the strategic plans which will have to be converted into Annual Operating Plans aligned with the company's long-term strategies
  • Provide critical financial and operational information to the Finance Head and Management and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations
  • Responsible for developing strategic plans growth of the organization
  • Oversee the development of the annual operating plan and costs management in alignment with the company's mission
  • Ensure the financial integrity of the company and be fully accountable for the accuracy of the company's financial reporting
  • Develop and maintain accurate and effective financial statements with efficient and effective accounting systems and SOPs while establishing internal controls
  • Responsible for monitoring and analysing monthly operating statements and understanding their trends including inventory controls
  • Responsible for preparing reports, summaries of company business activity, and financial positions for senior management and Investors
  • Timely reporting of various financial and other business-related information that forecasts the company's business activity as required by financial regulation both internally and externally
