Job summary

A hospitality establishment in Terengganu is seeking a dynamic service leader to enhance guest experience. Responsibilities

  • Motivate and guide service associates to maintain customer service skills.
  • Welcome guests, take orders, and offer recommendations.
  • Serve orders promptly with correct table settings.
  • Seek guest feedback and communicate it with the team.
  • Ensure room service orders are delivered accordingly.
  • Clear soiled plates and trays promptly.
  • Be sensitive to special guest food preferences.
  • Prepare takeaway foods or picnic baskets as requested.
  • Be well versed in food & beverage service sequence.
  • Familiar with food safety requirements and hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular inventory of operating equipment.
  • Ensure service team follows standard recipes.
  • Control material usage to minimize wastage.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team for food quality.
  • Assist in buffet replenishment.
  • Carry out cashiering duties and maintain cash float.
  • Prepare special setups for occasions.
Job description
Responsibilities
  • Motivate and guide all service associates to maintain excellent customer service skills.
  • Welcome all guests to the outlet, take accurate orders and offer recommendations and suggestions.
  • Serve all orders promptly with correct table settings.
  • Seek guest feedback regularly and share the feedback with F&B Supervisor and the culinary team.
  • Ensure room service orders are delivered accordingly.
  • Clear all soiled plates and trays left on the floors promptly upon request or based on a pre-determined schedule.
  • Be sensitive towards special guest preferences, e.g., allergic to certain foods, gluten‑free, etc.; ensure these special requests are communicated accurately to the kitchen team.
  • Prepare take‑away foods or picnic baskets upon request.
  • Be well versed in food & beverage service sequence.
  • Familiar with food safety requirements (FSR) and Halal Certification hygiene standards; be part of the Halal Committees and emphasize personal hygiene practices among the associates.
  • Conduct regular inventory of various operating equipment as per guidelines provided.
  • Ensure all produces made by service team are in accordance with standard recipes, including beverages, ice cream, etc.
  • Control the usage of all materials and supplies to minimize wastage and costs.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure highest food quality is produced for guests.
  • Assist kitchen team in checking for buffet replenishment.
  • Carry out cashiering duties, including payment collection and postings for the outlet. Ensure sufficient cash float with various denominations is maintained.
  • Ensure all set‑up in the outlet is ready prior to the commencement of meal periods. Provide special and personalized set‑up for special occasions, e.g., honeymoon, anniversary, etc.
