Financial Services Consultant, Persiaran Greentown Ipoh Branch MY (SLM)
Job Purpose
- To promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance products to the Bank’s mass and mass affluent customers.
- To provide professional advice and appropriate financial products based on customer needs.
- To ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent after sales services.
- To work closely with Preferred Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking Relationship Managers for referral on potential affluent customers.
- To plan and implement sales activities related to Bancassurance products.
- To act promptly on all leads and follow up activities.
- To achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the achievement of the region target.

Key Responsibility
Sales Planning
- To promote and professionally sell a wide range of Bancassurance life insurance products to the Bank’s existing and potential customers.
- To provide professional advice on appropriate financial products based on customer need.
- To ensure customer satisfaction and provide excellent after sales service.
- To plan and implement sales activities related to Bancassurance products.
- To act promptly on all leads and follow‑up activities.
- To acquire good knowledge of Bancassurance products in the market.
- To achieve individual sales target and contribute towards the achievement of the branch target.
- Manage sales pipeline by participating in sales management routines.
- Keep abreast with accurate and updated information on products, services, etc.
- Participate in CPD activities to increase knowledge and skills.
- Update branch managers on status of activities and any issues when necessary.
Sales Execution
- To actively market and sell Sunlife products to all customers.
- Actively involve in cross‑product sales activities to ensure optimal customer reach, product exposure and effective operations that optimize delivery to customer.
- Ensuring successfulness of all relevant sales campaigns.
Customer Relations
- Handle customer inquiries diligently, resolve or elevate the necessary issues to the relevant parties.
- Refer customer to the relevant officer/sales person for other products and services.
- Resolve customer complaints and elevate to the respective parties where necessary.
- Develop and build long‑term business relationships with customers.
Compliance
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer’s documents and information for sales execution and submission.
- Perform housekeeping on business documentation efficiently; avoid exposure and exercise caution on all confidential information.
- Submit the necessary documents to the relevant parties and follow up in a timely manner.
- Strictly comply with CIMB Bank's policies and procedures, including credit control procedures, audit compliance, BNM Guidelines, etc.
- Comply with sales code of ethics and governance.
- Respond to compliance enquiries from vertical and horizontal teams as well as audit.
People Management
- Promote and encourage teamwork by providing assistance to colleagues, branch lead generators, supervisors, etc.
- Share knowledge and new ideas with the team.
- Maintain a conducive and professional working relationship with team and customers.
- Project a professional business image at all times through high standards of housekeeping and personal grooming.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum a diploma or degree in any field.
- Minimum STPM or SPM (must obtain credit in Bahasa Malaysia, English or Mandarin and Mathematics).
Education Degree in any discipline
Skills
- Good networking skills, customer focus, confident, proactive, and result oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is preferable but optional.
- Computer literate (basic Microsoft Office).
