Job summary

Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate financial reports.

Monitor store performance (sales, margins, expenses, profitability).

Analyst trends and provide insights to support management decisions.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

Prepare annual budgets and regular financial forecasts.

Monitor performance against budget and highlight variances.

Work with retail operations to ensure financial plans support business goals.

3. Cash Flow & Cost Control

Manage cash flow to ensure smooth business operations.

Implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Monitor inventory valuation, shrinkage, wastage, and COGS.

4. Internal Controls & Compliance

Maintain strong internal controls for all retail outlets, warehouses, and HQ.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Manage internal and external audit processes.

5. Operational & Retail Support

Review POS data, cash handling, bank reconciliations, and daily sales reports.

Support pricing decisions, promotions, and margin improvements.

Oversee stock counts and inventory control processes.

Lead and supervise the finance and accounting team.

Train retail staff on finance and cash handling procedures.

Promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
