Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the full spectrum of financial management, including reporting, budgeting, compliance, internal controls, and business partnering. This role oversees the finance team and plays a key part in driving financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
  • Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, and external reporting standards (MFRS / IFRS).
  • Review full-set accounts, balance sheet schedules, and journal entries.
  • Manage statutory audits, liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Lead annual budget planning and periodic forecasting cycles.
  • Provide variance analysis, financial insights, and performance commentary to management.
  • Monitor financial KPIs and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
Internal Controls & Governance
  • Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and financial policies across the organization.
  • Ensure proper risk management practices and compliance with corporate governance standards.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and transparency of financial workflows.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
  • Monitor working capital, credit control, and payment approval processes.
  • Optimize treasury operations and ensure adequate funding for operations.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Partner with commercial, operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to support business decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives, including system enhancements and digital transformation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / ICAEW / CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial or controller role.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, taxation, and statutory reporting.
  • Proven experience in managing audit, budgeting, and financial planning cycles.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP S4HANA ) and advanced Excel/analysis tools.
