Job summary

A healthcare provider in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Executive to support budgeting and forecasting activities. This role requires maintaining financial records and assisting with month-end closing and financial reporting. Candidates should possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 1–3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is a must, along with excellent communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years of relevant working experience, fresh graduates may be considered.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and general ledger functions.
• Able to meet deadlines and work independently as well as in a team.

Job description

Support yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities

Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial records and ensure timely updates of the General Ledger

Ensure all costs, revenue, and collections are accurately recorded in the ledger

Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting for all subsidiaries

Prepare financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards and statutory requirements

Support monthly and quarterly reporting activities

Assist in handling queries from auditors and tax agents

Identify and support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with internal controls, local regulations, tax, and audit requirements

Perform data analysis and provide financial insights to management

Support the Finance Director and Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

At least 1–3 years of relevant working experience (fresh graduates may be considered)

Knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and general ledger functions

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
