Finance Manager (Property Development Industry)

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Group, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and Bursa Malaysia’s reporting requirements. This role provides strategic financial management and guidance to support property development, general construction, property investment and hospitality operations. The Finance Manager will lead the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, implementing internal controls and optimising financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger functions.
  • Oversee timely and accurate management reports, consolidated financial statements, Bursa Quarterly Report and project financial analyses in compliance with financial regulations, taxation laws, Companies Act 2016 and Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, company secretary, financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Manage tax planning, tax computation and review of CP204/CP204A & Borang C, ensuring compliance with tax laws and incentives.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, project financing and loan covenant monitoring.
  • Lead and develop the finance team to ensure high performance, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role (preferably in property development/construction).
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, Bursa Malaysia, Companies Act 2016 & taxation regulations.
  • Experience in project accounting, feasibility studies, and financial modeling.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
