A logistics and delivery company in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee end-to-end financial operations, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards. The ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, 4 years of financial management experience in relevant industries, and proficiency in financial modeling and ERP systems. Excellent analytical skills and leadership abilities are essential for driving department performance.
End-to-End Financial Operations Management
Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the general ledger, monthly closings, and financial statements.
Management Accounting & Decision Support
Lead the company’s budgeting, rolling forecast, and annual business planning processes.
Perform in-depth business, cost, profitability, and variance analyses, providing forward‑looking financial insights and recommendations to management.
Establish and enhance key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks to monitor business performance and drive departments toward financial targets.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Prepare management information system (MIS) reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis reports, clearly highlighting business trends, risks, and opportunities.
Evaluate the financial feasibility of investment projects, product pricing, and business cases to support strategic decision‑making.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management to optimize cash flow and improve working capital efficiency.
Cost Control & Internal Controls
Lead cost accounting and cost control initiatives; establish and continuously enhance internal control and risk management frameworks.
Compliance & Team Management
Ensure all financial activities comply with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
Lead and develop the finance team, including performance management and capability building.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as ACCA / CPA / MIA are preferred.
At least 4 years of financial management experience, with a strong background in FP&A or management accounting; experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain industries is an advantage.
Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, cost analysis, and performance driver analysis, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
Solid knowledge of MFRS, Malaysian tax regulations, and related compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel for data analysis.
Proven people management experience with strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
