Job summary

A leading financial services company located in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking an experienced finance leader to manage operational finance activities. Responsibilities include leading monthly and quarterly closings, overseeing financial reporting, and improving reporting processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, relevant certifications, and at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the retail or FMCG sector. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operational Finance, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Experience in Retail / Convenience Store / FMCG Environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee consolidation of multiple business units for accuracy and consistency.
• Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies for compliance.
• Strengthen internal control frameworks and accounting policies.
• Drive improvement in financial reporting processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance review cycles.
• Provide variance analysis on revenue and costs.
• Develop financial models for strategic decision support.
• Supervise the finance and account team for accurate reporting.
