A creative company based in Shah Alam seeks a seasoned financial manager to develop and implement accounting policies while managing budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with at least 8 years of experience, including 3 years in a managerial role. Key responsibilities include overseeing treasury operations and ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax laws, while also leading the Finance and Procurement teams to enhance organizational performance.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls that ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for improving financial performance across all operations.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for the trading company and its subsidiaries to ensure accurate financial planning.
Oversee the company's treasury operations including managing banking facilities, including loan drawdowns, debt repayments, covenant compliance, and related documentation with legal.
Liaising with tax agents, auditors and bankers to handle internal and external audits, taxation, statutory and banking matters, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings across all jurisdictions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of accounting and financial operations with business objectives.
Financial Insights and Strategic Support - Provide timely, data-driven insights and recommendations to support the CEO and senior management in enhancing organisational performance, financial sustainability, and resource allocation.
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Procurement teams to foster professionalism, capability, and accountability, ensuring effective succession planning and business continuity.
Monitor working capital (AR, AP, Inventory) and ensure effective cash flow management.
Develop financial models for company and subsidiaries to support new and existing investments.
Provide corporate finance advisory for tenders, bids, and new ventures, including funding options and capital structure recommendations.
Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional initiatives and undertake ad-hoc assignments as directed by the CEO to support company strategic and operational objectives and KPIs.
Assist with ad-hoc projects as and when required.
