Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Pontian, Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Finance professional to support the finance manager in various functions, including account closing, compliance, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have a recognized diploma or degree in accountancy or finance, with at least two years of experience in a senior finance role. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, and experience in auditing and manufacturing will be advantageous. This position requires effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a Senior Finance role.
• Experience in auditing and manufacturing is preferable.
• Experience in Company income tax and withholding is an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing costing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support finance manager on account closing and workflow improvement.
• Review general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting practices.
• Prepare or review accounting schedule.
• Support monthly variance analysis and financial information analysis.
• Liaise effectively with internal and external parties.
• Support external audit and tax matters.

Job description

To support finance manager on account closing, work flow improvement initiatives, project implementation and other ad-hoc project.

To review general ledger and ensure compliance with established accounting practices.

To prepare or review accounting schedule (breakdown of prepayment, accruals, expenses, other income and etc.).

To support on monthly variance analysis and financial information analysis.

Able to liaise with internal and external parties effectively (government authorities, auditor, tax agent, company secretary and etc.).

To support external audit and tax matters.

Role Requirements

Recognised Diploma/Degree or Professional Papers in Accountancy or finance.

At least 2 years of experience in a Senior Finance role.

Strong in Excel.

Auditing and manufacturing experience is preferable.

Self-motivated and high degree of initiative, ability to organize and complete task with minimal supervision.

Willing to learn and adapt to changes.

Experienced in Company income tax and withholding will be added advantage.

Experienced in manufacturing costing will be added advantage.
