Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, and monthly closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, tax, audit, and statutory filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, SOPs and accounting policies.

Job description

We are looking for a hands‑on Finance & Accounting Manager to manage the full spectrum of accounting functions while supporting management in financial planning, cash flow management, budgeting, and business decision‑making. This role combines strong accounting execution with commercial and financial insight, suitable for a growing manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, fixed assets and monthly closing.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure timely submission of SST, tax, audit and statutory filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and authorities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, SOPs and accounting policies.
• Oversee costing for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Supervise and guide Account Executives to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure accounting system (e.g., AutoCount) is well‑maintained and reliable.

Finance & Business Support

• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
• Support budget preparation and perform budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Manage banking matters, including loan facilities, overdrafts and documentation.
• Assist management in evaluating CapEx, machinery purchases and expansion plans.
• Analyze profitability by product, customer or project.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Support ad‑hoc financial analysis as required by directors.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with full set of accounts.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Familiar with costing, inventory and production accounting.
• Fluent in Chinese (spoken & written) – compulsory.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia – compulsory.
• Able to communicate effectively with management, auditors and banks.
• Experience with AutoCount or similar accounting systems is an advantage.
• Independent, detail‑oriented, and able to handle both operational and managerial tasks.
