A financial services firm in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Financial Manager to oversee the preparation of group financial statements and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with professional qualifications preferred. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. The position also involves supervising junior staff while handling ad-hoc financial projects.
Manage and oversee the preparation of group consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Coordinate and ensure timely submission of quarterly and annual announcements in compliance with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements.
Prepare and review monthly management reports, financial analyses, and board reporting packs.
Oversee tax computations, submissions, and compliance, including liaison with tax agents.
Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, including variance analysis.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements.
Establish, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, internal auditors, company secretaries, regulators, solicitors, and other professional advisors.
Support corporate exercises and ad‑hoc finance projects as required.
Supervise, coach, and develop junior finance staff to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by Top Management.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements and Securities Commission guidelines.
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, including supervisory or managerial responsibilities; experience in a public listed company environment is an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
