A leading agricultural company in Malaysia seeks a sales professional to drive business growth. Ideal candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in relevant fields and have 4-5 years of experience in sales within the fertiliser or agrochemicals sector. Strong skills in relationship management, market analysis, and customer engagement are crucial. The position requires fluency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM software.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capture new business opportunities.
Technical knowledge in fertiliser products, crop nutrition, and agronomic practices.
Effective communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management.
Ability to analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
Self‑motivated, results‑driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
High adaptability and problem‑solving skills in addressing customer concerns and field challenges.
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Marketing, or related discipline.
Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Crop Management (an advantage).
4–5 years of proven sales experience in fertiliser, agrochemicals, or agricultural inputs.
Hands‑on experience in managing dealer/distributor networks and plantation accounts.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Familiarity with regional agricultural practices, crop cycles, and farmer engagement.
Develop, execute, and monitor sales plans to achieve assigned revenue and volume targets.
Manage and expand customer base including dealers, distributors, plantations, and cooperatives.
Conduct regular customer and field visits to build rapport, provide technical support, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Deliver product knowledge, fertiliser application techniques, and crop solutions to customers.
Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences.
Coordinate with agronomy, logistics, and marketing teams to ensure product availability and promotions.
Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and customer updates to management.
Negotiate within approved pricing and discount structures.
Recommend credit terms for customers in line with company policy.
Approve customer orders within assigned sales limits.
Propose marketing activities, promotional events, and product launches to management.
Provide feedback on product development and customer requirements.
