Job summary

A property management company is seeking a skilled Facility Technician (JMB) based in Johor Bahru. The candidate will carry out maintenance, repair, and inspection work for building facilities, ensuring all systems function safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include daily inspections, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a relevant technical diploma and 1–3 years of experience in facility management. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in building maintenance or facility management.
  • Experience in residential/commercial buildings under JMB/MC is an advantage.
  • Able to respond to emergency calls when required.

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Facility Technician (JMB) to carry out maintenance, repair, and inspection works for building facilities under Joint Management Body (JMB). The role ensures that all building systems are functioning safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily inspection, maintenance, and minor repair works
  • Attend to breakdowns and emergency maintenance issues promptly
  • Maintain building facilities including electrical, plumbing, lighting, and basic M&E systems
  • Monitor and report any defects or abnormalities in building equipment
  • Coordinate with external contractors for major repair or servicing works
  • Ensure maintenance works comply with safety standards and procedures
  • Keep proper records of maintenance activities and work reports
  • Support building operations as assigned by Building Executive / Property Manager
  • Assist during audits, inspections, and meetings when required
Requirements
  • SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in building maintenance or facility management
  • Experience in residential / commercial buildings under JMB/MC is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Able to respond to emergency calls when required
  • Responsible, hands-on, and able to work independently
  • Willing to be based on-site in Johor Bahru
