This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted facility operations and IT infrastructure support in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. The role integrates critical facility management (cleanroom, utilities, EHS) with IT systems, network, and manufacturing IT support, ensuring high availability, compliance, and operational excellence. Deals with China and Taiwan expatriates a lot.
Key Responsibilities

1. Facility Management (Semiconductor Fab / ATMP Focus)
- Manage critical utilities including:
- Power (HT/LT, UPS, DG sets)
- Chilled water systems, CDA, vacuum, gas monitoring
- RO/DI water, wastewater treatment (ETP/STP)
- Ensure cleanroom compliance, monitoring temperature, humidity, and particle counts.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of facility equipment.
- Manage AMC and vendor contracts for facility systems.
- Support tool installation, hook-up, and relocation activities.
- Ensure EHS compliance (safety, hazardous gas handling, fire systems, chemical storage).
- Maintain facility documentation, SOPs, and compliance records.
- Support audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, customer audits).
- Drive energy efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.

2. IT & Systems Responsibilities
- Maintain and support IT infrastructure:
- Servers, desktops, laptops, printers
- LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi
- Equipment interfaces (SECS/GEM – basic coordination)
- Manufacturing IT systems (MES/MOM, SPC)
- Manage user access, backups, antivirus, and cybersecurity policies.
- Coordinate with corporate IT for ERP, email, cloud, and security systems.
- Provide IT support for production tools, data logging, and reporting systems.
- Ensure high system uptime for fab operations.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and licenses.
3. Coordination & Compliance
- Act as a single point of contact between Facilities, IT, Production, and external vendors.
- Support business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery.
- Ensure compliance with data security and IP protection policies.
- Assist during fab expansion, new line setup, or capacity ramp‑up.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:
- Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering
- Information Technology / Computer Science
- Diploma holders with strong semiconductor fab experience may also be considered.
Experience
- At least 2 years experience in:
- Semiconductor fab / ATMP / electronics manufacturing facility
- Industrial IT infrastructure support
- Experience in cleanroom environments is highly preferred.
