STINIS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. seeks a FABRICATION TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to help design test our planned upcoming projects with creates dependable, hardworking products benefitting our company’s development.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.

• Understand and apply GD&T symbols in fabrication projects.

• Select appropriate raw materials for fabrication.

• Plan fabrication sequences to optimize workflow.

• Prepare cutting lists and nesting layouts to minimize waste.

• Coordinate with engineering teams for design clarifications.

• Review welding procedures and fabrication methods.

• Ensure all required permits and documents are ready before work starts.

• Perform sheet metal bending, rolling, and forming operations.

• Execute structural steel fabrication for beams, columns, and frames.

• Fabricate tanks, vessels, and custom metal components.

• Perform CNC cutting and punching where required.

• Assemble fabricated parts into final structures.

• Perform tack welding to hold components in place.

• Use precision measuring tools during assembly.

• Ensure all fabrication meets dimensional tolerances.

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components.

• Apply pre-heating or post-weld heat treatment when required.

• Inspect weld joints visually and dimensionally.

• Grind and finish welds to meet surface requirements.

• Conduct dimensional inspections at all fabrication stages.

• Perform surface finish checks.

• Record inspection results and submit reports.

• Identify and rectify defects before final delivery.

• Maintain full traceability of materials used.

• Ensure all measurements match the approved drawings.

• Participate in final client inspections when required.

• Operate fabrication machines safely and efficiently.

• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

• Calibrate measuring instruments regularly.

• Report damaged or malfunctioning tools immediately.

• Arrange for periodic servicing of fabrication machinery.

• Keep tool storage organized and labelled.

• Select correct blades, bits, and consumables for each task.

• Perform minor repairs on fabrication equipment.

Required Skills
