The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 1-3 years of experience in drafting, with proficiency in AutoCAD as mandatory. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication/shop drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Convert design drawings into fabrication drawings for production.
• Maintain proper drawing control and documentation records.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication/shop drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or related software.
• Convert design or approval drawings into fabrication drawings for workshop/production use.
• Provide clear dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and fabrication notes.
• Review drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, workshop supervisors, and production teams.
• Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOM) when required.
• Revise and update drawings based on workshop or site feedback.
• Maintain proper drawing control, versioning, and documentation records.
• Comply with company quality standards, safety requirements, and internal procedures.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Drawing, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Fabrication Drafter or in a related role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes such as cutting, welding, machining, and assembly.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a strong team player.
