External Audit Assistant/ Senior Associate

ASSURA is seeking an experienced External Audit Assistant/Senior Associate to join our team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This full-time position will play a key role in providing high-quality audit services to our valued clients.

What you'll be doing

Performing audits of financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards

Analysing financial data, identifying potential issues, and recommending corrective actions

Documenting audit findings and preparing comprehensive reports for clients

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address complex audit-related matters

Maintaining a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices.

Obtain a thorough understanding of International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and common audit procedures and techniques

Develop a good understanding of Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and financial statements presentation and generally accepted accounting principles and other reporting requirements, where applicable

What we're looking for

Proven experience of 2+ years in external audit or a similar role within the audit industry. Fresh graduates are welcome!

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify solutions

Strong knowledge of audit procedures, financial reporting standards, and relevant regulations

Proficient in using audit software and data analysis tools

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings effectively

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CA) preferred
