Job summary

A major retail chain in Klang City is seeking a Security Manager responsible for overseeing the recruitment and management of security personnel. Job description
Responsibilities

Involve in and monitor the recruitment/selection of security personnel to ensure that only personnel with the right qualifications and experiences are recruited.

Provide guidance to the local management team in managing physical security aspects at the site

Provide leadership to your direct reports in relation to security goals and implement plans to develop them to become proficient in security matters.

Develop security procedures and S.O.P/Work Instructions.

Develop secured and safe cultures at the site through security awareness and education, campaign, etc.

Conduct internal investigation on any reported security incidents and complaints.

Report security incidents and register the case through the security online database.

Perform security risk assessment on a periodic basis.

Provide training to site local security team members.

Monitor and ensure all security systems are running flawlessly. If there is any deficiency, it must be reported and rectified immediately.

Plan and forecast a security budget.

Perform evaluations and conduct a business review with the security service providers.

Monitor and measure the performance of the direct reports and outsource security guards.

Monitor closely high-value inventory control and scrap process control by performing an internal security audit.

Submit weekly updates to immediate superior.

Any other tasks as may be assigned.

Others ad-hoc tasks

To perform any other work as and when required.

Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing and supervising site physical security.
  • Able to propose, implement and enforce security procedures.
  • Able to continuously look for areas of improvement
  • Able to deal with Security Company effectively.
  • Able to converse and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • Knowledge related to security system tools and applications, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Malaysian Laws, and RBA requirements, would be added advantage.
