A leading legal advisory firm in Malaysia is looking for a legal advisor to assist in providing legal advice on corporate matters and vet contracts including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Service Agreements. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Law and have at least 1-3 years of post-qualification experience. Fluency in English and a good command of Malay are required, while Mandarin fluency is a plus. The role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to minimizing legal liabilities.
Assisting in providing legal advice to DNeX Group on all legal matters.
Reviewing and/or vetting all corporate and commercial contracts entered by DNeX Group, including but not limited to mitigate legal liability, such as:
Preparing and/or vetting, as may be required from time to time by the Group, relevant correspondences to be issued to third parties in order to protect the interests of the Group and to minimize legal liability.
Liaising with external solicitors on legal matters affecting the Group, including litigation, business disputes and other matters assigned to external solicitors.
Advising on the risk and monitoring of DNeX Group under the Supervisor supervision to ensure compliance in accordance with the law.
Attending to requests by the management or any officer of DNeX Group and providing sound legal response under Supervisor’s supervision.
Updating status report and maintaining necessary records or legal matters.
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Law, Legal or equivalent from reputable educational institutions. A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Required skill(s): Professional legal knowledge and working experience in any of the following areas of law: contract and commercial, company, intellectual property, conveyance, land, information technology, dispute resolution and/or litigation.
Key quality(s): Good communication and interpersonal skills. Resourceful, independent, analytical and meticulous. Commitment to the highest ethical and professional standard. Unquestioned discretion in maintaining confidentiality.
Required language(s): Excellent in English language both in speaking and writing is mandatory with a good command in Malay. Mandarin fluency would be an added advantage.
Desired experience/exposure: Minimum 1-3 years of post‑qualification experience (excluding chambering), either as Advocate & Solicitor or an in‑house lawyer, preferably admitted to the Malaysian Bar.
