Responsibilities
- Support the HSSE Manager, Safety & Health Officer (SHO), and Facilities/Operations teams in planning, coordinating, and implementing effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations, promoting a hazard-free work environment.
- Conduct regular HSSE audits and inspections across business and maintenance operations to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly HSE performance reports, including data on LTIs, safety observations, and incidents.
- Participate in and provide updates during HSSE-related meetings, reviews, and site discussions.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE initiatives such as ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2015, and ISO 9001.
- Carry out daily site safety inspections, prepare reports, and assist in scheduled site safety audits.
- Conduct incident and accident investigations, prepare reports, and share lessons learned for management review.
- Track, analyse, and report QHSE performance metrics to the Department Head of HSSE.
- Assist in developing and reviewing project-specific HSE procedures and emergency response plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Facilities Management, or related field from a university recognized by the Malaysian Government.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities management, property operations, or related industries.
- Registered Safety & Health Officer (Yellow Book holder) with DOSH and possess a valid CIDB Green Card.
- Certified in ISO 45001:2018 (Requirements and Internal Auditor) and trained in First Aid, CPR & AED, HIRARC, and Emergency Response.
- Additional certifications such as Mental Health First Aider, Incident Investigation, and SCBA/EEBA/Gas Detector training are advantageous.
